Active Web Solutions have worked in conjunction with McMurdo and the RNLI to produce the MOB Guardian, a satellite based vessel monitoring and man overboard alert system aimed at the fishing industry.

Active Web Solutions are now extending the shore based component of this system to incorporate weather information data from the Midas server, as well as for offering weather data on Microsoft's Virtual Earth platform.

To facilitate this, Midas Weather now offers a SOAP and WSDL compatible XML interface that allows Midas weather products to be overlaid onto Virtual Earth.
